Ingredients ( 8+ )

  • 2 lbs ground venison or lean ground beef
  • 1 large can kidney beans 40 oz
  • 2 small cans tomato past 10 oz each
  • 1 can diced tomatoes 14 oz and 1 can diced tomatoes and peppers.
  • 2 packs French's chili seasoning (or your favorite)
  • 1 medium sized onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper

Directions

  1. In crockpot add Kidney beans, tomato paste, and diced tomatoes (do not drain). Next dice 1 whole onion and 1 whole green pepper or cut into desired size. Add the green pepper and onion along with chili mix and crushed red pepper. Mix well.
  2. In a skillet, brown ground venison/beef adding a little salt and pepper as it cooks. Once cooked, stir into other ingredients. Cover and cook on low for at least 5 hours.
  3. Since some people like their chili thicker than others, you can add water 1/4 cup at a time until you get it to the desired thickness. Very good served over white rice.
