Delicious fruit salad that may have come fron the 1950's - we have always served at large extended family get togethers...and the family fights over it to make sure they get to take some home at the end of the night!

Ingredients ( 8+ )

  • 1 pint whipping cream, whipped
  • 1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, room temp.
  • 2 cans fruit coctail, drained
  • 1 can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows (preferably the colored ones)
  • 1 sm. jar maraschino cherries, drained (reserve 1 tsp. juice)
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. In large bowl, whip whipping cream until stiff. Whip in cream cheese.
  2. Add all rest of ingredients, reserving a handful of the cherries and a few whole walnuts to garnish top. Stir together, including the reserved cherry juices.
  3. Garnish top with balance of cherries and whole nuts, refrigerate and pull out to serve.
